Your royalty checks stopped. Start by looking at the months. Two checks arrive, then the operator changes, and January is never paid. A payment can fall between two companies. A payor may hold your money, without interest, for four reasons: a title dispute, doubt about your title, an unmet title-opinion request, or a child support lien. If none of those applies, it may owe interest. So ask which one it is. Which subsection of section 91.402(b) is the reason my proceeds are in suspense, and what do you need from me to release them?
