FAQ
Questions people ask
What is an operator report card?
A page that gathers what is public about one operator: its output and direction, leases gained and left, who buys its production, the oil price it told investors, its permits, and, where five or more owners agree, price, deductions and days to pay from statements owners uploaded. It has no grade or rank; each line names its source.
Which operators have one?
An operator with at least ten producing leases and two or more kinds of public signal with real figures, or any operator with an owner comparison behind it. Other operators still have their own page with leases and production.
Where do the owner figures come from?
From statements uploaded by owners, without names, and only when five or more different owners are behind a figure. Each owner counts once, and an owner can opt out at any time.
