Who we are and how we work

Royalty Clerk is a product of AGI Solutions LLC. We built it because a royalty check is hard to check. The stub lists volumes, prices and deductions, and the state publishes what each lease produced, but nobody puts the two side by side for the person who is owed the money.

Most of the people who use it own a royalty interest they inherited or bought years ago, and many read on a phone. The site is written for them: short sentences, real numbers, and terms explained where they appear.

We take nothing from operators. No operator pays us, sends us leads, buys placement or gets a preview of what we tell an owner. If we find that a check looks short, the finding goes to you, with the numbers and the question to ask.

We make money from owners who choose a paid plan or a one-time report. The pricing page lists what is free and what is not. The free tools, the lease pages and the lease report PDF stay free.

• Texas Railroad Commission. Monthly oil and gas production and gas disposition for every lease, drilling permits and well records. The operator reports these to the state.
• U.S. Energy Information Administration. Monthly WTI Cushing and Henry Hub spot prices, used as the market reference for oil and gas.
• Your statements. When you run a check, the files you upload are read line by line and matched to the lease by its Railroad Commission number.

The state runs two to three months behind and revises recent months, so a month can change after we show it. Each page says which month the data runs through. The Texas overview shows the latest month we hold.

A check compares each month on your statements with what the state says the lease sold, times your decimal interest. It looks for missing months, short volumes, a price that fell away from the market, large deductions, tax withheld above the state rate, and payments made after the legal deadline. The guides explain each of these.

It cannot see your lease contract, the run tickets, or a hold the operator has placed on your account. Only the operator can confirm those. That is why each finding comes with the exact question to ask, and why some items are marked as ones we could not verify.

Your uploads are stored encrypted in the United States and you can delete them at any time. We do not sell or share your data, and the site has no third-party trackers. The details are in the privacy policy.
